Message From the President

Due to the social and economic effects of the pandemic, the entire world is going through a difficult period and it is our greatest hope that during this process of normalization that started with vaccinations, the effects of the virus will disappear and the economy will enter a process of growth.

During the pandemic, we as İzmir Demir Çelik A.Ş. implemented the Covid-19 measures at the highest level and focused on production and export for our country in order to maintain employment.

We are in 7th place in the world’s steel production and we continue to invest nonstop to continue contributing to our country’s economy. As we announced on the Public Disclosure Platform, İzmir Demir Çelik has decided to double its growth through new investment. With this new investment we aim to reinforce our place in the sector and increase our turnover by raising İDÇ’s average share in the existing steel production from 3.5 to 7 percent.

We have completed our 47 year anniversary and during this time we have capitalized on high added value profile production in addition to construction rebar. While we were establishing the profile mill in 2013 our goal was not just to produce profiles but to become a brand by producing good quality profiles.

By making the investments we have planned, we will continue to be a pioneer in Turkish industry and undertake responsibilities for our country, our employees and our stakeholders. As a brand and a pioneer in a challenging market like construction steel production for many years, we take pride in having implemented this approach in profile production as well.

We place great importance on our people focused values, our brand perception that has been instilling confidence for 47 years, our corporate governance principles, our strong management structure, our qualified human resources, our financial discipline and all technological advancements with respect for the environment and sustainable growth.
